Birch River Horizon offers planning-support services, described on the services page. The first conversation is free. This notice sets out the commercial information that applies if you later ask us to work with you for a fee.

Fees 販売価格	The first conversation is free. Any further work is quoted individually in writing, with its scope, before it begins. The site publishes no price list. Tax treatment is stated in the quote.
Other costs 商品代金以外の必要料金	Fees of notaries, lawyers, scriveners, registrars, tax accountants, doctors, funeral providers and temples are not included in our fee and are paid to them directly. Communication costs for phone or video calls are borne by you.

How a piece of paid work proceeds

After the free first conversation, we send you a short written outline that names the topics we would cover, the form the work would take (for example, sessions by phone or video, and the notes or lists we would prepare), the fee, the way and the time of payment, and the terms for ending the work early. Nothing starts until you reply and accept it. If you do not accept, there is nothing further to pay and no obligation.

What the service is and is not

The service is organising and explaining. We do not draft legally binding documents, give legal, tax or medical advice, represent you before any court or public office, sell funeral, grave, insurance or trust products, or hold your passwords, originals or recordings. Where a step needs a notary, a lawyer, a scrivener, a tax accountant or a doctor, we say so and you engage them yourself and pay them directly. Personal information

Details you give us when you enquire or when you work with us are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. The enquiry form passes through the form service formsubmit.co.

Language

This notice is given in English with the Japanese headings required for a notice of this kind. If an English line and a Japanese line ever seem to differ, please ask us which is meant before you rely on either. We will answer in writing.

Public holidays and closing days

We answer enquiries on business days, Monday to Friday. Messages sent on Saturdays, Sundays or Japanese public holidays are read on the next business day. We do not run an emergency line, and the service is not suited to urgent medical or legal situations; in those cases please contact a doctor, 119 or a lawyer.

Corrections to this notice

If any item above does not match what you were told in your written quote, please tell us at office@birchriverhorizon.com before you accept it, and we will correct one or the other. This notice will be updated, and the date at its top changed, whenever our practice changes.
